Our freshly baked goods cannot be combined in the same checkout cart as the gifts and books merchandise! This is because the merchandise items will be posted to your chosen delivery address from a warehouse that isn’t connected to our bakeries. Layers of sponge with classic Hummingbird Bakery-style banded frosting design, decorated by hand with edible white nonpareil sprinkles.

All flavour options of this design will have the same colour scheme as the picture shown – the frosting colours stay the same no matter what the frosting flavour is!

Flavour options: Available in vanilla sponge with vanilla frosting, chocolate sponge with vanilla frosting, lemon sponge with lemon buttercream frosting, lemon and raspberry sponge with lemon cream cheese frosting, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting or Rainbow cake with vanilla frosting.

All the wedding cakes in this specific range are available for collection only from our Spitalfields branch and all cake designs are as shown and cannot be customised further online.

As all our cakes are handmade to order, we kindly ask that customers give a minimum of 7 days advance notice for all wedding cake orders.

The tops of our wedding cakes are perfect for decoration with cake toppers or fresh flowers, but please note that we do not provide these with your order.

Our tiered cake heights differ slightly, depending on the flavour of sponge within, this is due to natural baking conditions! Rainbow Cakes are generally taller than other flavours as each tier contains 6 layers instead of 3! Whilst we try and make each cake as perfectly as possible, they are made individually so the final product may vary in proportion slightly to that depicted on the website.

Depending on which sponge you choose, your cake could contain: Eggs, Wheat, Barley**, Milk, Nuts, traces of Peanuts & Soya. However, this particular cake has white nonpareil decorations which do contain Soya.

**Our Red Velvet cakes contain distilled white vinegar which is fermented from barley. We have consulted with the Coeliac Society who have told us that if this vinegar is used in a food product then we must list the word ‘barley’ in the ingredients list in line with EU-wide allergen labelling law. However, as distilled white vinegar is made using a fermentation process, this means that the amount of barley, and therefore gluten, in the end product is extremely small and is well below a level which is safe for people with coeliac disease. This level is made even lower as the vinegar is used in very small amounts in the Red Velvet batter. The data spec sheet for the particular type of vinegar that we use confirms that no traces of gluten have been detected during tests.
