The Hummingbird Bakery Soho has teamed up with Terrence Higgins Trust to create limited edition cupcakes for World AIDS Day.
World AIDS Day takes place on 1st December each year and it is an opportunity for individuals, charities and organisations to unite in the fight against HIV and show support for people living with HIV.
It is estimated that as many as 100,000 people in the UK are now living with HIV and numbers are increasing.
To mark the day and help to raise awareness for this important cause, the Soho branch of The Hummingbird Bakery has created special edition cupcakes to sell from 28th November to 2nd December.
For every World AIDS Day cupcake sold, 50p will be donated to the HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust.
Since 2010 The Hummingbird Bakery has collaborated with Terrence Higgins Trust to promote awareness of World AIDS Day.
This year there will be two limited edition cupcakes to choose from: our bestselling Red Velvet cupcake with a red fondant ribbon (the international symbol for the fight against HIV and AIDS) and a red frosted vanilla cupcake with edible glitter.
Head of Fundraising at Terrence Higgins Trust, Sonya Trivedy, commented: “We are thrilled that The Hummingbird Bakery has chosen to support Terrence Higgins Trust this World AIDS Day. These limited edition cupcakes are a delicious way to raise funds for people living with HIV and the eye-catching designs are also a great way to raise awareness of this important cause.”
Limited edition World AIDS Day cupcakes are available only at the Soho branch from 28th November – 2nd December.
