The Hummingbird Bakery at Lovebox Festival

It’s a momentous occasion, the smell of Hummingbird cupcakes baking in Victoria Park for Lovebox 2012 as our new Mobile Unit gets its first outing!
The cupcakes are coming… to Lovebox Festival! This weekend, we’re kicking off a dizzying schedule of amazing summer festivals and events for The Hummingbird Bakery Mobile Unit with a spot at East London’s hotly anticipated Lovebox Festival 2012. Positioned in the lush greenery of Victoria Park, we’ll be baking up a storm to the sounds of Hot Chip, Friendly Fires, Grace Jones and Chaka Khan in our plush new mobile bakery on wheels. For the first time, a festival crowd will be able to get their Hummingbird cupcake fix!
As the festival-goers don their most extravagant outfits and the artists take to the stage, the Hummingbird Bakers will be firing up the on-board ovens to bake batches of our most popular cupcake flavours – classic Vanilla, rich Chocolate, moist Carrot and of course, our bestselling Red Velvet cupcakes. We also have a coffee machine and fridges on board so music lovers can recharge and refresh with a selection of freshly brewed illy coffees, Teapigs teas, water and orange juice.
And just in case you were wondering, our cupcakes never arrive before we do! No pre-baking, no pre-decorating, no pre-packaging – we’ll be baking in the comfort of our purpose-built Mobile Unit and frosting by hand just as we do in our bakery kitchens. Baking fresh is just how we roll and our Mobile Unit is no exception.
